The Beautiful Disasters.

Base on series of archives of on an on-going collection of images and documentations of natural disasters and disasters from all over the world, the destroyed human matters and fresh ruins unfold a particular kind of esthetic it delivers a message : no one is in control.

Look for un-mediated information in mediated materials, this project is meant to present a fact from a perspective is detached from human society. The atmosphere of enormity and ethereal esthetic, shows another kind of dynamic that works disregard to the wish of human being. Those images under this context are considered as an implication reveal the paradoxical relationship between the painstaking human surviving strategies (the continuous inventions and interventions), and the remaining naivety and helplessness. Which shows the (mis)understandings on both our natural circumstances and the need of ourselves.

Via visual presentation of enviorment, video installation and lecture performances, visitor are invited to be opposed to the compelling power of nature, it is meant to intrigue a fresh and breath-taking perception on the neutrality and ruthlessness of natural dynamics.
